Bývalá sklárna Crystalexu ve Vrbně pod Pradědem je zatím jen v částečném provozu

Sklárna ve Vrbně pod Pradědem, která patřila pod zkrachovalý Crystalex, od ledna částečně obnovila výrobu. Podle nového majitele sklárny, Pavla Loudy z firmy Aland Europe, zatím zaměstnávají 20 lidí.
Ještě před krachem Crystalexu v závodě na ruční výrobu pracovalo 130 lidí. Navýšení počtu zaměstnanců podle Loudy záleží na tom, jak se jim bude dařit navyšovat počet zakázek. "Zatím jsme spustili jen zušlechťování. O hutní výrobě se rozhodne v průběhu března. Stěžejní činností pro nás nyní je získávání zakázek," uvedl Louda. Podle jeho slov, pokud jich nebude dostatek, hutní výrobu neobnoví. Jen její spuštění si vyžádá totiž pět až 10 milionů korun
ALand Europe získala závod s ruční výrobou loni na konci září za 6,65 milionu korun. Skupině kolem poděbradského podnikatele Loudy patří i bývalé Sklárny Bohemia z Poděbrad, které stejně jako Crystalex patřily do holdingu Bohemia Crystalex Trading.
Crystalex patřil k nejvýznamnějším světovým výrobcům automaticky a ručně vyráběného nápojového krystalinového skla, které dodával do 65 zemí světa. Hlavní závod měl v Novém Boru a další provozovny v Hostomicích na Teplicku, Vrbně pod Pradědem a Karolince na Vsetínsku. Všechny závody mají nové majitele a s výjimkou Hostomic se výroba v nich znovu rozběhla nebo obnoví během několika dnů.
Crystalex byl součástí holdingu Bohemia Crystalex Trading, který zaměstnával na pět tisíc lidí a jehož roční obrat se pohyboval kolem pěti miliard korun. Do problémů se dostala firma kvůli levné asijské konkurenci a loňskému posilování koruny vůči dolaru. Neměla dostatek provozního kapitálu a po výstražném přerušení dodávek energií na konci září sama požádala o insolvenční řízení.
